Research Chemicals China

Eligible, non-controlled laboratory reagents are dispatched from China. Whether a particular material can be exported, and whether it can enter the destination country, depends on its chemical identity, intended end use, export classification and the rules of the importing jurisdiction. Dispatch from China should not be taken as a guarantee that every listed substance can be shipped to every destination.

Export controls and documentation

China maintains controls covering scheduled chemicals, precursor chemicals and certain dual-use items. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs overview of China’s export-control laws describes the relevant regulatory framework. The Ministry of Commerce also publishes updates to export-control lists and licensing requirements; its September 2026 notice on precursor chemicals is one recent example.

Destination-country requirements

Import rules are set by the receiving country and may require permits, end-use information or other documents. Check both export and import requirements before making arrangements. A “research use” label does not remove legal controls, and this page does not imply that controlled psychoactive substances are available for export.
